Colomba Klenner is a Boston-based painter who graduated with honors in Painting for her BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She was born in Santiago, Chile and grew up in Singapore before settling in New England to pursue her career in fine art and murals. Colomba’s art explores compassion and trauma through natural elements such as animals, plants, fungi and even microfauna. Using the natural world as a driving force, Colomba aims to inspire empathy within the human condition. This call for action is meant to encompass empathy not only to one another but also all living beings on our planet. Colomba was awarded the Godine International Travel Grant to travel to the south of Chile. She will create a bilingual book illustrating Chilean folklore and stories.
