César Camarena is a painter originally from the Dominican Republic who currently resides in Salem, Massachusetts. With more than 45 years of career experience, he has cultivated an artistic style that encompasses genre painting, impressionism, and expressionism. Although he is self-taught and did not attend a formal art school, he has won several awards since his early years as a painter and has held solo exhibitions in his home country.
In addition to his work as a visual artist, César is also a pastor. He has served in pastoral ministry for around 30 years, beginning in the Dominican Republic, and for the past seven years he has continued his pastoral work in Salem, where he is also dedicated to community service. His participation in local art projects is deeply tied to his desire to collaborate with other artists and to contribute to the history and beauty of the city of Salem
