Open from Thursday to Saturday from 12:00 PM- 5:00 PM
This exhibition traces Luis Rivas’s artistic practice from his studies at Altos de Chavón, Dominican Republic to the formation of the Diablos Ecológicos, which began as a project created during the pandemic to provide kids with at-home arts activities and has grown into an internationally known art recycling project. While honing in on his more intimate sculptural works of creatures and figurines woven with wire, stone, and glass bottles. Rivas asks us to contemplate the beauty inherent in everyday objects, to reconsider what we consume, and to step into his Imaginario Caribe.
