Webster’s Dictionary defines a hero as ”a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.”
Critical workers continue to work outside their home despite outbreaks in their communities. There are approximately 135,600 Hispanic/Latino RNs and 51,800 LPNs, according to “Data/Statistics, The Office of Minority Health, US Department of Health and Human Services.” Their efforts to help save lives, make the sick more comfortable, and work to contain the Covid-19 virus. They deserve to be recognized for what they are, HEROES.
My poster is designed in a minimalist way balancing a portrait of a Healthcare worker against subtle textures, bold, bright colors, and fun easy to read typography. It aims to celebrate this underrepresented group of critical workers, while also spreading awareness about wearing a face mask.
