Kimberly Villafuerte Barzola is a first generation Quechua artist and aspiring librarian born and raised in the North Shore. Her primary mediums include muralism, relief printmaking, and acrylic painting. She is motivated to create and respond to the social movements she participates in here in the US and across Latin America. Her biggest inspirations are the works of Elizabeth Catlett, Emory Douglass, and the chicha cultural movement from Peru.
